BLACKPINK member Lisa is set to make her mark as a solo artist with the release of her first full-length album, Alter Ego, on February 28, 2025. The announcement, made by Sony Music Entertainment Korea on December 20, has generated massive excitement among her global fanbase, BLINKS, who have eagerly awaited the next chapter of her solo career.

This marks Lisa’s first solo studio album since her debut, and it will be released under her own label, LLOUD, in partnership with RCA Records. Building on the success of her previous singles, Alter Ego will feature eight tracks, including hits like "Rockstar," "New Woman," and "Moonlit Floor." "Rockstar" debuted at number one on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, while "New Woman," a collaboration with Grammy-winning artist Rosalía, received widespread acclaim.

Lisa has been steadily building her solo career, releasing a string of singles since June 2024. In a recent interview, she spoke about the challenges and rewards of her solo journey, saying, "At first, I was scared and nervous because I never really came out here to do my own stuff. And now I’m having fun. When [my singles] came out, the reaction from the fans, it’s healing me."

The promotional campaign for Alter Ego features a unique star motif, with Lisa representing five distinct personas symbolizing the points of a star. This concept is designed to showcase the diverse sides of her artistry, offering fans a deeper understanding of her creative evolution.

Lisa’s upcoming album is seen as a pivotal moment in her career. Supported by her BLACKPINK bandmates, she is stepping confidently into the solo spotlight while continuing to connect with her loyal fanbase.

Beyond her music, Lisa has solidified her position as a global icon. She recently became Billboard’s first Global Cover Star and has performed on major international stages such as the Global Citizen Festival. As anticipation builds for the February 28 release of Alter Ego, fans around the world are eager to see Lisa’s growth as an artist and what surprises her debut studio album will bring.

With Alter Ego, Lisa is poised to further her reputation as one of K-pop’s brightest stars, making waves not just in the music industry but across global pop culture.
